Seventh Hour Limited collects very little, uses it only to quote and deliver work, and never sells it. This page says exactly what that means.

Seventh Hour Limited is a real estate and commercial media company based in Auckland, New Zealand. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Seventh Hour Limited.
We are the agency responsible for the personal information described here under the Privacy Act 2020. If you want to talk to us about any of it, email [email protected] or call 021 927 012.
When you enquire. Our booking form asks for the property address, your name, email address, phone number, your agency, the package you are after, your preferred light, and anything else you choose to tell us. Only the address, your name and your email are required; the rest is there because it helps us quote accurately.
When you email or call. Whatever you send us, and our reply, sits in our mailbox.
When you visit this site. Our server keeps standard access logs: IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, and the time. These are a by-product of running a website securely, not a profile of you.
What we do not collect. We do not ask for payment card details through this site, we do not run advertising or tracking pixels, and we do not buy personal information from anyone else.
To quote your job, schedule the shoot, deliver the files, invoice you, and answer your questions. That is the whole list.
We may also use an enquiry to follow up if we have not heard back, and to keep our own records of work completed. We do not add you to a mailing list from an enquiry, because we do not run one.
You do not have to give us any of this. Without a property address and a way to reply, though, we cannot quote or book a shoot.
This is worth saying plainly, because it is the part of our work that touches privacy most directly. Photographing a home captures what is in it: possessions, paperwork, photographs on the wall, cars in the driveway, sometimes people.
We shoot what is needed to market the property. If something in frame should not be published, tell us before or during the shoot and we will move it, reframe, or remove it in the edit. We would rather be asked twice than publish something a vendor is unhappy about.
Whoever books the shoot is responsible for having the property owner’s permission for us to attend and photograph. We rely on that.
We keep the images we produce so we can re-supply them if files are lost, and we may show selected work in our portfolio on this site and on social media. If you would rather a particular property was not shown publicly, tell us and we will keep it out of the portfolio.
Google Workspace hosts our email. Enquiries sent through this site, and any email you send us, are stored there.
Our hosting provider runs the server this website sits on in a data centre, and enquiries are also recorded in the website’s own database so a mail failure cannot lose your message.
Cloudflare sits in front of this website to serve it quickly and absorb attacks. It processes the request data described above.
Our accountant, for invoices, and only what an invoice contains.
That is the full list. We do not sell personal information, we do not trade it, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
We will disclose information where the law requires it, for example under a court order, or where it is necessary to prevent a serious threat to someone’s safety.
Google and Cloudflare both store and process data on servers outside New Zealand. That means your information may be held in countries whose privacy laws differ from ours.
We use these providers because they are held to privacy standards comparable to the Privacy Act 2020, which is the test that Act sets for sending information overseas. If you would rather your details were not handled this way, contact us by phone instead and tell us.
Enquiries that do not become bookings: two years, then deleted.
Records of completed work, including correspondence and invoices: seven years, which is what New Zealand tax law requires.
Photographs and video we have produced: indefinitely, unless you ask us to remove them.
Website server logs: a short rolling window, typically a few weeks.
The site is served entirely over an encrypted connection. Access to the website’s administration and to our mailbox is limited to the two of us and protected by strong, unique passwords and two-factor authentication.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If personal information we hold is ever affected by a breach that could cause serious harm, we will notify the people affected and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, as the Privacy Act 2020 requires.
This website sets very few cookies and none of them track you across other websites.
A cookie is set if you log in to the website as an administrator, which only we do. A temporary cookie may be set while the site is in private preview, so invited people can view it. The page builder we use may set a cookie to remember display preferences.
We currently run no analytics and no advertising cookies. If we add website analytics later, we will update this page before turning it on, and we will configure it so it does not build advertising profiles.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Both are free, and we will respond within 20 working days.
You can also ask us to delete information we no longer need, to keep a particular property out of our portfolio, or to stop contacting you.
Email [email protected] for any of these. We may need to confirm who you are first, so that we are not handing someone’s information to the wrong person.
Tell us first. Most things are a misunderstanding and quick to fix.
If we cannot resolve it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, which is free and independent: privacy.org.nz, or 0800 803 909.
If how we handle information changes, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes that affect people who have already enquired will be told to them directly rather than left here to be found.
Ask us. We would rather explain how we handle something than have you guess from a policy page.
